Welcome to Harelaw Trout Fishery & Coffee Shop, a premier destination for fly fishing and relaxation nestled in the heart of East Renfrewshire. Owned and operated by HARELAW TROUT FISHERY LTD (Company No. SC685383), we are proud to offer a welcoming environment for anglers of all abilities, along with a warm, friendly coffee shop serving delicious, home-cooked meals and fresh baking daily.
Set on the picturesque Harelaw Reservoir, our fishery is stocked regularly with hard-fighting rainbow, blue and brown trout, offering an exciting challenge for fly anglers of all levels. We’re proud to support the Scottish angling community, hosting regular competitions and offering expert advice and quality fly fishing gear through our on-site shop.
Our Coffee Shop is a local favourite—perfect for anglers and visitors alike. Whether you’re fuelling up before a day on the water or relaxing with a hot drink and a slice of cake, our cosy café provides the perfect setting with stunning views across the reservoir.
At Harelaw, we believe fishing should be accessible to everyone. That’s why we’ve made significant investments to improve access for those with mobility challenges, including a purpose-built, wheelchair-friendly ramp and a custom-designed wheelchair-accessible fishing boat.
The name “Alba” holds special meaning. Not only is it the Gaelic word for Scotland, but it’s also the name of our sadly missed loyal dog, who’s name we proudly use in our fly tying brand. Just like Alba the dog, our brand represents loyalty, authenticity, and a deep-rooted connection to the Scottish outdoors.
Every product sold at Alba Fly Tying is hand-picked by Ross himself, ensuring you receive only the best materials – whether you’re tying classic patterns or experimenting with modern designs. From the banks of Harelaw to fly-tying benches across the country, Alba Fly Tying is built by anglers, for anglers.
